Be Still
Exodus 14:13-14
13 And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he
will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for
ever.
14 The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.
KJV
Have you ever just wanted to see the last of something that has troubled and tormented you?
And to have that happen was beyond your strength and ability.
Exodus 14:13-14 is a two verse “how to let that happen” portfolio for your own, how to let it happen for
you. The circumstances and the situation concerning the people are different than yours but the
principles and the God that made it happen for them is still real and true.
Stand still is defined as prepare to take a journey into the salvation or provision of God. Cease from any
effort of your own that God has not instructed you to do. Just stop and let God take you on a trip while
you rest in him. You have asked, you have believed and you are praising him for the happening. Beyond
that just stop. Stand still. You will never take this journey if you are not still. That’s it. Take a last look at
this trouble and torment. They can't go on this journey with you. I said stand still. Finding it hard to do.
Now you understand your children more don't you :) You told them to stand still and you would do
everything for them. Why don't they? Because they really don't know how to operate in faith in your word
because they did not take you at your word. How to do that. Believe and obey. Act on the word given
and you demonstrate your faith whether in a parent or God. I said stand still. I see your faith isn't working
either. That is why that mess finds it easy to follow you around. Your unbelief in God demonstrated by
your not standing still is your faith in the junk hanging on to you and is why it keeps following you. One
more time STAND STILL! Sorry for yelling but that seems to be the only time you listen. But, I SAID
STAND STILL. There you go. Now you have it. What's that? You mean the trouble and torment is gone.
Exodus 14:13-14, what’s that song you are always singing? Oh, He will do it again. And He will do it again
as often as it needs to be done. Until the time comes though. Be still.
