Never Forsaken

Proverbs 17:22
22 A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones.
KJV

Proverbs 15:13
13 A merry heart maketh a cheerful countenance: but by sorrow of the heart the spirit is broken.
KJV

Proverbs 15:15
15 All the days of the afflicted are evil: but he that is of a merry heart hath a continual feast.
KJV

This is the kind of medicine you can take without sugar or water to help it go down and each person can take as much as
needed or desired. The whole of the amount you have, every two hours or all the time. Depending on your desire or need.
At the same time a crushed spirit, one that has been totally cast down by the affairs of life, drieth the bones. The bones are
where the marrow is that produces life. For Solomon to say a broken spirit drieth the bones is to say this man has no life left in
him, no more fight, no will to go on. This person has given up. What is the sorrow that breaks this mans spirit to such a degree?
Another translation says a wounded heart. So what is it that wounds the heart so bad? Each person would have a different
answer. So what wounded your heart? For me the thing that wounded my heart more than anything, more than my own failure,
more than the betrayal of a friend or my betraying a friend, more than the untruths told of my life is the thought of being
forsaken. By a friend, a wife hastened off to glory, your children, a parent. Yet and by far the most devastating is to think you
are forsaken of God. He just doesn’t seem to be there. My friend you may be forsaken by many but never God.  That will never
be a wound received. I like what David said of God, our faithful friend that sticketh closer than a brother.

Psalms 27:10
10 When my father and my mother forsake me, then the LORD will take me up.
KJV

"He will never leave or forsake you!
Solomon also said that he that is of a merry heart has a continual feast. Not just a good meal but a feast. More than enough to
fill, a variety to choose from to satisfy the taste of every taste bud or need. And you can find the feasting table in;

Psalms 23:1-6
1 A Psalm of David.
The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they
comfort me.
5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever. KJV

Eat to the full that which you need in the presence of that which cast you down. For he is now a defeated enemy that can do
nothing but look at what your Father, who will never forsake you hath done for you.
If your spirit has been crushed or your heart is not merry enough to be your medicine and your countenance has fallen there is
only one thing needed to get back on track.

Psalms 16:5-11
5 The LORD is the portion of mine inheritance and of my cup: thou maintainest my lot.
6 The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places; yea, I have a goodly heritage.
7 I will bless the LORD, who hath given me counsel: my reins also instruct me in the night seasons.
8 I have set the LORD always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.
9 Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth: my flesh also shall rest in hope.
10 For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.
11 Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.
KJV

Get back in and stay in the presence of the Lord at his right hand.
