Not Forsaken
I have been a shepherd, a lion and bear slayer, a giant slayer, an armor bearer, a musician, a singer,
a servant to a king, a soldier, a captain of an army, a lover, a husband, a father, a fugitive though
innocent, a murderer, a liar, a thief, a friend, a killer of men, an imposter, a lover of God, and a king.
And through all this and as my life is drawing to a close I can say;
Psalms 37:25
25 I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed
begging bread.
KJV
And we never will see the righteous forsaken because we are the righteousness of God in Christ
Jesus. Not in and of our self or of our worth and value. We are the righteous as the purchased
possession of God by the blood of Jesus. We are his loved and espoused bride. We are the result of
his desire to have a chosen people to serve him in the earth. We are his children, his heirs and joint
heirs with Christ Jesus. Though we live in a body of flesh and blood we are of him and not ourselves.
He will not forsake the righteous for he is righteous and altogether right!
He will correct us, and discipline us because he loves us but he will not forsake us. He will sometimes
leave us to ourselves so we may have a better view of our self and love what we see and improve what
we see by his grace. Or abhor what we see and repent, but he will never forsake us.
We may walk away from him but he will never walk away from us. He will never forsake us but empower
us by his Holy Spirit to live the righteous life by his grace in the light of his word. He will never forsake
us but he will give us a cross to bear such as he bore. That cross is not sickness, poverty, or disease.
He will not give us what Jesus took stripes for to take away. No No never. Our cross is our self will that
says not my will but your will be done for all the direction of my life for you have the better plan. Our
cross is not for our crucifixion but for the flesh so that we may say as Paul, By the cross I am crucified
to the world and the world to me and the curse that belongs to this world or this earth will not come
upon me. God Almighty will not ever forsake us in any area of our life or whatever we may be going
through. We have his word on it and heaven and earth will pass away but his word will never pass
away!
He said this;
Hebrews 13:5
5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he
hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. KJV
What we have to be content with is not the afflictions satan tries to put on us. What we have are all the
promises of God that are ye and amen in Christ Jesus. Peter gave the cripple what he had at the gate
called beautiful and the cripple was healed with what Peter had. You have the same thing Peter had.
The mighty name of Jesus! In that name rise up.
Now let us say: The Lord is my helper and I will not fear what man shall do to me, nor the son of
perdition!
I am not forsaken of God but helped of God.
