People God Has Controversy With
Hosea 4:1-2
1 Hear the word of the LORD, ye children of Israel: for the LORD hath a controversy with the inhabitants of the land,
because there is no truth, nor mercy, nor knowledge of God in the land.
2 By swearing, and lying, and killing, and stealing, and committing adultery, they break out, and blood toucheth blood.

The happiest days of my life are when I awake in the mornings and know all is well between the Lord and I.
I don't wake up that way every day but when I do wake up and realize things are not right between the Lord and I, I do my
best to get them right as quickly as possible, I can bear a lot of things but I cannot bear the mere thought that things are not
right between us.
I know that we are human and have to deal with the flesh. I know that God knows we are but dust with His life in us, He well
knows our frame, I know as He knows that our spirit is willing and our flesh is weak and I thank Him that as He prayed for
Peter so also did He pray for us, so we really do not have any reason for something not to be right between God and our
self and not get it right. He allows us too much grace not to make things right.
But as I read this text I realize that God has a problem with every nation on the face of the earth by and large these days
with few exceptions because there is no truth, the word of God, the reality of God recognized and obeyed. We know the
truth because it has been taught to us but seemingly we choose to believe a lie and be dammed. Where the truth will set us
free a lie will buy us a ticket to hell. There is little or no truth in politics in America, in our schools, universities and colleges
and too often we no longer put our left hand on the bible and raise our right hand and swear to tell the truth so help me
God. The court calls a lie on the witness stand perjury, but God still calls it a lie.
Mercy is fast becoming a thing of the past, it has gotten down to tit for tat, you kill my dog and I will kill your cat. Mercy is a
result of grace undeserved. Get in a car wreck and be in the wrong or right and not have your insurance paid up because
you lost your job and ask the other person not to call the law and see if you get any mercy. I remember the day we would
have let it go and just filed on our own insurance, no mercy in many areas, that’s just one, and then there is the problem
with no knowledge of God in the land, against the law to mention God in public school in America today. They want to take
“in God we trust” off our money and “under God” out of our pledge of allegiance. Too many people are afraid to pray
publicly over their food or anything else. It would identify them with God and that would embarrass them. They are ashamed
of Him and when we pray Jesus is going to be ashamed of us before the Father and make no mention of us or our request
and on judgment day He will not lift His voice for us. We are afraid it would make it hard on us on our job so we don't witness
Jesus to everyone as we once did. So the knowledge of God in the land is becoming less and less and so are His blessings,
they travel together.
If we have involvement in these three things then all is not well between you and God or me and God, verse two needs no
explanation, we see it running rampant in America and the world, swearing, lying, stealing, killing, and adultery are
everywhere and the blood flows. Not just the bars and night clubs and organized crime but in our homes, schools, streets
and playgrounds.
It is all that can happen when you take away the truth, mercy and the knowledge of God and it is going to get worse if more
of us don't get things right between God and our self and clean our act up.

that question and only you can do something about it if things are not right between you and God. You must judge your self
in this area or God will.
