Receive
Matthew 7:8
8 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
KJV
Ask and you will receive. Ask who? Your heavenly father! The one who created heaven and earth for you, the one
who gave Jesus for you the one who gave the Holy Ghost for you, the one who gave the fullness of salvation just for
you, the one who gave you the legal right to the use the name of Jesus, the one who has created things just for you
that have not even entered your hearing or your heart, the one who is making a new heaven and earth just for you,
the one who did not withhold Jesus from you and now freely gives you all things by Jesus Christ, the one who does
not see amounts, only your need to be supplied out of HIS riches in glory by Christ Jesus just for you and what can
we ask? We can ask all things that pertain to life and godliness, ask and keep on asking.
John 16:23-24
23 And when that time comes, you will ask nothing of Me [you will need to ask Me no questions]. I assure you, most
solemnly I tell you, that My Father will grant you whatever you ask in My Name [as presenting all that I AM]. [Ex 3:14.]
24 Up to this time you have not asked a [single] thing in My Name [as presenting all that I AM]; but now ask and keep
on asking and you will receive, so that your joy (gladness, delight) may be full and complete.
AMP
Who can ask? He said everyone that asketh receiveth! Not someone but everyone.
You say I ask and did not receive. I say did you take the next step and pursue that which you ask, believing you would
receive? For Jesus said that he which seeks or pursues that which was asked for would find it. Jesus truly gives that
which was asked. But satan tries to steal it before you find it. Persistent praise and thanksgiving is the pursuing faith
that finds what Jesus has given and satan sought to steel. Find actually means get. Say it this way,
I ask, Jesus gave what I asked and I receive it and will continue in the persistence of faith which is praise and
thanksgiving until I get what I ask in hand.
We not only ask and pursue that for which we ask and Jesus said we would receive we must also knock or put a
demand on heaven until we get what we ask. The demand is on heaven because every good and perfect gift comes
from the father of lights in whom there is no variableness or shadow of turning. So how do we put a demand on
heaven? There is only one way I know of. " Father you said " When you put pressure on with this demand, heaven
puts pressure on hell and it will come to pass that you will have what you asked just as Jesus said. Don’t quit asking,
in faith believing, don’t quit pursuing, don’t quit getting and don't quit demanding and you won't quit receiving.
