Rejoice

Philippians 4:10
10 But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly, that now at the last your care of me hath flourished again; wherein ye
were also careful, but ye lacked opportunity.
KJV

I sometimes wonder if in reading the word of God we forget that the writers were men who wrote under the
inspiration of the Holy Ghost but they lived in bodies of clay subject to the same passions, principles, and
practices of every day life just as we are today and every day they lived that life they demonstrated the
strength of God enabling them to live this life of faith, a life filled with the blessings of God in a cursed
earth.

A life as overcomers by Christ Jesus with the supply of God, a life where they also had to stand, withstand,
stand forth, stand up, stand out, and stand against the powers of hell, a life of joy and peace with
sufferings, tribulations, persecutions, and constant threat of the loss of their life and their families as well
as the pain when loss of life ceased to be a threat and became reality. They wrote, taught and preached
the word of God under the anointing, but they lived the life of faith by the strength of God, the strength
available to every believer by the grace of God, young or old, new saints or mature saints, the strength of
God is the same to all who want it. Paul was one of the great heroes of the bible and here in Philippians
he tells us how he tapped into the strength of God. His first mention is; "but I rejoiced greatly in the Lord".
Rejoiced means cheerfully, happy, glad, greatly, means either altogether or not just a little and notice that
he was doing this in “someone” first and for “something” second.

The something was the care for his well being by the Philippian church had again flourished or come alive.
The someone is Jesus who is always alive and cares for all with the care and supply of God with out
respect of person. Not just a little but altogether, I a child of God with a call to be a saint like the rest of
you and with a job as one of the gifts of God to the church demonstrated my cheerfulness, gladness and
happiness in the Lord the reason your care has flourished for me again. My cheerfulness, gladness, and
happiness, not just a little but altogether to the glory of God. My friend where you find cheerfulness,
gladness and happiness in the Lord altogether anticipated and demonstrated you will find the strength of
God flowing in more than enough measures. The joy of the Lord evident in our lives by our rejoicing in him
is our strength. The more you rejoice in him the more his strength flows in you. And the more it flows in
you the more you will recognize that your ability to go forward in the life of faith is by the greater one
working in you to will and do of his good pleasure. The greater one, your source of strength with out end.
Praise The Lord!

Take a look at Jesus and remember it was for the joy set before him. The strength of God set before him
that he was able to endure the cross, ignored the shame and set down by the father. It does not make any
difference how you rejoice but rejoice and keep your joy level up and let the strength of God flow!
