Rest
Matthew 11:28-30
28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

Of all the invitations you will get in life this one will always be the most important and you will come to understand that it
is a standing invitation. It is the one that makes the difference as to whether you will continue on through life and hear
the “well done” or falter under your load and come undone. “Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I
will give you rest.” It is an exclusive invitation for every one. It could read like this. Come here to me, any of you that
have been working hard and are wore out from the over load. The over load may be spiritual, mental, physical, financial
or material. What the overload is doesn't matter. Jesus wants to give us rest which is to cease from our labor under the
overload. It does not matter how you got there Jesus still wants to give you rest. You may think if you stop and rest now
you will lose out. The fact is if you don't stop and rest now you are going to burn out and that comes just before you
burn up. So stop and rest. Jesus will pull your slack for you and you’re not going to lose out on anything. The rest is
your enabler not your disabler. Rested people go back to their labor, work hard without being wore out and take the
advantage of the over load because they hooked up with Jesus, learned his way of doing, became teachable and
humbly took His approach as their advantage to the overload and found the rest they needed .They still work hard but
they are not wore out, any time we learn of Jesus we learn His way of doing and being right. When we hook up with
Jesus for rest everything fits, we take on His burden which is pleasing the Father and that advantage just took care of
the overload. Jesus had a big job to do for humanity, it could have been an overload but it wasn’t because Jesus was
hooked up with the Father who had the plan of the ages for you and me. Hook up with Jesus who is still hooked up with
the Father who has a plan for you that will give you rest. Pray: Jesus here I am to receive your rest, speak to me and I
will listen and obey with meekness and humility as you give me your plan for rest. Amen
