Set The Guard
I like the idea of having the peace of God guard my mind, many people are searching and seeking for a little peace of mind but
it is the child of God that will have real peace, perfect peace, and that peace will guard their mind and heart.
Philippians 4:6-9
6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto
God.
7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are
pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think
on these things.
9 Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with
you. KJV
Here is how to set that guard. DON'T WORRY. It is not natural for a child of God to worry. It is natural for the flesh to do so.
Worry is condemnation, and remember;
Romans 8:1-2
1 THEREFORE, [there is] now no condemnation (no adjudging guilty of wrong) for those who are in Christ Jesus, who live [and]
walk not after the dictates of the flesh, but after the dictates of the Spirit.(A)
2 For the law of the Spirit of life [which is] in Christ Jesus [the law of our new being] has freed me from the law of sin and of
death. AMP
So if you don't want to worry, walk in the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus. The word of God.
Here is a law to apply here.
Isaiah 26:3-4
3 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.
4 Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength: KJV
Stay your mind on the Lord. The living word, not on what tempts you to worry, not your situation or circumstances, they may be
bigger than you, but they are not bigger than your Heavenly Father. Then make your requests known to God, now there is
nothing left to do but give God thanks. The moment you prayed you cast all your cares on the one who cares for you. He is big
enough to handle your deal. When the devil tempts you to think and worry about it by trying to bring it to your remembrance just
tell him you don't know what he is talking about because you have turned everything over to God. Then give God a shout of
praise for peace is guarding your mind and heart.
Then turn your thoughts elsewhere, you know
Philippians 4:8
8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are
pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think
on these things. KJV
Then follow the example of the saints of God that live in the peace of God and you will have that peace of God on guard within
you. Now set the guard!
