Stay In Submission

Romans 12:1-2
1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable
unto God, which is your reasonable service.
2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that
good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. KJV

The body of the born again believer is not only the temple or home of the Holy Ghost. It is also the home of the five senses.
The five channels by which the human mind is supplied all the information to sensually control the body. Without these
senses the mind could not produce any thought to be acted on or any intellectual decision ability. Without them the brain
would be an imbecile. These are also the channels that supply information for obedience to God or obedience to sin.
Therefore we consistently feed the mind the word of God through these channels renewing the mind with the word of God
transforming by daily growth in the word of God the inward man experiencing or proving for our self what the will of God is.
Growing in God's likeness everyday instead conforming to the world. Thus we put on the mind of Christ or have been
renewed in the spirit of our mind.

Ephesians 4:17-32
17 This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind,
18 Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because
of the blindness of their heart:
19 Who being past feeling have given themselves over unto lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness.
20 But ye have not so learned Christ;
21 If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus:
22 That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;
23 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;
24 And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.
25 Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour: for we are members one of another.
26 Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:
27 Neither give place to the devil.
28 Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may
have to give to him that needeth.
29 Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister
grace unto the hearers.
30 And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.
31 Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:
32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.
KJV

These being the reasons why we present the body a living sacrifice unto God each day so we may be submitted to the
control of the Holy Ghost. How we present our bodies a living sacrifice to God is always our choice based upon information
received from the world system and the word of God.

1 Corinthians 9:27
27 But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself
should be a castaway.
KJV

I must realize the body tempted by information received from the world is always tempted to be out of the control of the Holy
Ghost. Out of control the body will bask in the pleasures of sin for a season but only for a season and then

James 1:12-15
12 Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath
promised to them that love him.
13 Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any
man:
14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.
15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.
KJV

Like I said only for a season, then death or separation from God through the lusts of the flesh. Lest we be lost we bring our
bodies into submission of the Holy Ghost. I like to think of a two step process in doing this.

First

1 Corinthians 6:12
12 All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under
the power of any.
KJV

All things are permissible to me but they may not edify me and if it does not edify me or build me up spiritually, healthfully or
mentally I will not be brought under its power. I will not allow my body to submit to anything except that which builds me up. I
may be tempted but I will resist that temptation and not be drawn away by my lust which leads to death. A habitual look ,smell,
taste , feel, or listen to a whisper which allows your mind uncontrolled access of thoughts of willful disobedience to the Holy
Spirit will lead you into the lust which conceives the sin that leads to death. Resist them and flee those lust and refuse to be
brought under their power for they lead to slavery to sin.

Second is

1 Cor 10:13
13 For no temptation (no trial regarded as enticing to sin), [no matter how it comes or where it leads] has overtaken you and
laid hold on you that is not common to man [that is, no temptation or trial has come to you that is beyond human resistance
and that is not adjusted and adapted and belonging to human experience, and such as man can bear]. But God is faithful [to
His Word and to His compassionate nature], and He [can be trusted] not to let you be tempted and tried and assayed beyond
your ability and strength of resistance and power to endure, but with the temptation He will [always] also provide the way out
(the means of escape to a landing place), that you may be capable and strong and powerful to bear up under it patiently.
AMP

Basically the same as step #1. There is really only one way to keep the body under submission and each person makes their
own choice to live in submission to God and live in his benefits or submit to sin and die.

Romans 6:16
16 Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto
death, or of obedience unto righteousness?
KJV

Present your bodies a living sacrifice to God  and live the good life prearranged and made ready for us to live and let not sin
reign in your mortal body.
