You Had Your Chance

Proverbs 24:11-12
11 If thou forbear to deliver them that are drawn unto death, and those that are ready to be slain;
12 If thou sayest, Behold, we knew it not; doth not he that pondereth the heart consider it? and he that keepeth thy
soul, doth not he know it? and shall not he render to every man according to his works?
KJV

There is not a day in our life that we could not help some one in some way. It must be so if we are to be true imitators
of Jesus. He set the example for every one of us. When we see those we can and should help and we do help it is
letting our light shine so that men may see our good works and glorify the Father.

The Fact of the matter is this. The church is the body of Christ. We are the flesh of God. The arms that reach, the
legs that go, the heart that feels the infirmities of the people as does Jesus and as the body of Christ and as the
flesh of God we are filled with the fullness of him that filleth all in all in every place. In other words when we come to
that person or persons we are to help, what we need to help with will be there to help. Nothing of ourselves but our
willingness. All is of God.

Here in our text we have this warning from God that if we forbear to help. Put off or procrastinate to help. The Lord
will take note of it and then there will come a day that we need help and the Lord will recall what he took note of and
as we did to them the same will be done for us. Nothing! On the other hand if we did not forbear to help and came to
their aid. Then in the time of our need of help the Lord will take note of the way we helped them and we shall receive
the help we need.

There is always going to be those who need the help of the church because the Lord said the poor you will have
always. When you will, do what you will for them. It should be no surprise that there will always be those who need
help. Jesus never ran out of people to help when he was on earth and neither shall we. He did it with the joy of the
Father. The love of the Father. The gentleness and kindness of the Father and so should we.

He did it with out respect of persons and partiality and so should we. He did it without preference of gender, age, or
race and so should we. As a matter of fact everybody Jesus helped was unsaved for his blood had not been shed
for the remission of sins. Therefore it should be the desire of the church to help the unsaved. For the Goodness of
God leadeth to repentance. Here in Vietnam the people that can help mostly help only their relatives and talk bad
about the rest of the needy. Let this not be said of the church of God. There is a cry going up from the earth of the
sighing, crying, suffering, dying people of the world.
We the church are the only entity in this earth that is big enough and has what it takes to come to their aid.

Let us do so for God is taking note.
