Greetings in Jesus Name.
My Name is Khadak Shahu. I was born and brought up in an ordinary Hindu family.
My Father was a devoted Hindu. In 1990 my mother became seriously ill. My father tried almost
everything he could do according to Hindu practice. But her condition became even worse. Later one
of my relatives shared about Christ and prayed for my mother. She was instantly healed and my
parents committed their lives to Christ. But I had a negative feeling towards religion due to
discriminatory practice such as cast system. So I thought Christianity is one of such religions.
However, in 1991 I attended a youth conference where I found no such discrimination between God
and man, and between man and man. At that youth conference I committed my life to Christ. In 1993,
I went to Bible School for ten months where I got a call from God. I started a Church in a new place
after my training. Now in that place more than 100 believers worshiping Jesus, Glory to God. Again in
1998 I went to India for further studies. After my graduation in 2001, I worked for University Christian
Students Fellowship of Nepal for two years.
I have been serving the Lord at Sinai Church as the Senior Pastor since 2005. I have a great burden
and vision to propagate the gospel in far-western and mid-western regions of Nepal. These regions
are isolated because development is very slow here. People are not educated. Many leaders do not
show interest to work in this part of Nepal as full time ministers. Every one is interested in the capital
city. But I thank God that He has been fulfilling my vision and now we have 45 daughter Churches in
this area.
Now within five years our church is praying to plant 40 Churches in hilly parts of this region.
Therefore every two months we go for sharing good news in hilly parts of this area. We don't have
transportation facility to reach those people and area. There are not good roads. Therefore our
team has to walk 3-4 days to reach those people. Our Church is also playing important role in
liberating the Kamaiya (indigenous people of western part of Nepal who have been bonded laborer
for countries) from their landlord. They were treated like slaves with less respect. But today with the
help of some local NGOs we are able to free them from their Landlord. They are settled in different
places. Some of them are living near our Church and some of them are coming to Church. Our
Church is running two schools in those areas. At present 365 students are studying at that school.
We have given the name of that school as Mukta Kamaiya primary school.
We have untouchable practices between the groups of the people. The lower cast man can not enter
to touch higher cast people. In that context we are focusing on those untouchable people. Many of
them are coming to our Church.
All the Glory to my Almighty God.
My Prayer is NEPAL Must be washed by the blood of JESUS CHRIST.
PASTOR KHADAK
